ProtoHIT’s system was originally developed by Dr. Phillip Wagner, in his occupational health practice. The system is based on treating 12,000 workers’ comp patients (50,000+ patient encounters).  He was able to reduce the average number of patient visits per claim by half while achieving MMI in the same or quicker times. Based on this success, Dr. Wagner was asked to write the workers’ comp practice guidelines for the state of California.

Treatment Guidelines. ProtoHIT provides you with 21 field-tested protocols compliant with ACOEM treatment guidelines that cover the majority of ICD-9 codes used in workers’ compensation cases. As soon as you’ve made your diagnosis, you’ll have a target return to work and MMI date, based on the chosen protocol. This can then be shared with employers, at your discretion, both online and in reports.

These early intervention protocols enable you to quickly identify patients that need deeper treatment.
