ProtoHIT™ Releases Version 1.1 of its SaaS Software
New release is optimized for performance and adds new features that streamline occupational health providers’ work
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., May 25, 2011 ‒ ProtoHIT, Inc. announced today that it has released version 1.1 of its patient treatment optimization software to its clients’ workers’ compensation clinics. The new release provides a range of new features that streamlines the work of occupational health providers in delivering treatments to its patients.
The new release is easier to use by simplifying workflow. It delivers significantly higher performance than earlier releases. And it adds new clinics reports, improved search capabilities and support for non-occupational related visits for treatment.
The ProtoHIT software provides occupational health clinics with treatment guidelines for 85% of the most common job related injuries. This simplifies providers’ work and enables them to focus on those cases that require greater attention. It enhances the clinics’ communication with their employers, and measures outcome performance to give providers feedback for continuous improvement. It can help clinics cut the number of patient visits in half and reduce costs by up to 15%.
The ProtoHIT software is the only occupational health solution to measure treatment outcomes and integrate evidence-based medicine to help workers’ compensation health providers. The software is based on the work of Dr. Phillip Wagner, an occupational health physician, who developed the system over 50,000 patient encounters and 12,000 cases at an occupational health clinic. Based on his work, Dr. Wagner was later commissioned by the State of California to develop the occupational health treatment guidelines for the state. The solution has been commercially available since 2010.
